Facilities & Maintenance Manager
We are currently recruiting for a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join the Benchmade Knife Company team. The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the direction, health and continuity of the production maintenance & facilities teams, equipment set and building infrastructure. The Facilities & Maintenance Manager’s key objectives are to minimize equipment downtime, strengthen the asset pool and build a flexible team that continues to support a fast-paced business.
One of the primary focuses of this role is to further develop and integrate Benchmade’s CMMS with the greater operations team in order to drive visibility and understanding of the maintenance and facilities program. This position plays a key role in the direction and execution of our company’s growth trajectory, and will be required to track and report on KPI’s to senior leadership.
The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for strategically developing and growing Benchmade’s sales and market share throughout North America. Additional key responsibilities include leadership and strategic direction for the Commercial business to drive revenue and profit goals. This role is responsible for driving the overall strategy and execution of the Commercial sales initiatives while collaborating with our independent manufacturer sales rep agencies to ensure total account alignment and sales rep engagement. The Commercial Sales Manager provides regular and appropriate product-related feedback to the product design team while working cross-functionally with customer service, supply chain, demand planner and finance. This role requires strong business acumen, demonstrated skillful financial negotiating and proven development of new and existing business opportunities.
Process Technician Lead
We are currently recruiting for a Process Technician Lead to join the Benchmade Knife Company team. The primary role of the Process Technician Lead is to provide direct support to their assigned team and to ensure that the most efficient work steps are being taken to achieve: safety, quality, productivity, and cost effective production of our products.
The Process Technician Lead can identify bottlenecks, anticipate issues, and re-allocate resources as needed to ensure smooth workflow and consistent quality. As well as ensuring work standards are followed so that we can identify and solve any quality, process, or logistical problems that occur on a daily basis. This role helps to build a sense of teamwork and ownership through employee training and development, as well as work with manufacturing engineers to lead and support NPI and continuous improvement efforts throughout the department. This role develops and support a continuous improvement culture within the team to help the team meet department challenges.
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Technician to join the Benchmade Knife Company team. The Quality Technician works in partnership with the Quality Engineer in problem identification of out of specification parts. This role participates in process improvement teams, as well as working with area leads in writing process work instructions. The Quality Technician audits process functions, and assists with CMM programming needs and troubleshooting issues.
The Industrial Designer owns the origination and development of ideas to design the form, ergonomics, finish, and fundamental function of the manufactured products at Benchmade Knife Company. This role is responsible for researching publications, attending trade shows, and consulting with engineering, marketing, production, and sales representatives to establish product design strategy, design concepts, and final execution of consumer product designs. This role works closely with our industry markets and internal team, and is responsible for taking products and product ideas and making them user-friendly, functional, ergonomic and attractive to consumers.
Customer Service Rep.
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Rep to join the Benchmade Knife Company team. The Consumer Specialist is the primary customer service contact for direct consumers at Benchmade. This position is responsible to deliver exceptional customer service, commensurate with our premium brand. Communication with the consumer may occur by phone, email, or live chat.
Design Engineering Manager
We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineering Manager to join the Benchmade Knife Company team. The Design Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the Design Engineering team in support of developing new products, sustaining and continually improving manufacturing processes and creating strategic advancements in operations. The position collaborates with manufacturing, product line management, industrial design, and supply chain to meet New Product Introduction (NPI) timelines, cost targets, and customer demand. The position is also responsible for assuring factory process capability for new as well as existing processes and supporting the equipment roadmap.
The Design Engineering Manager leads a team of engineers working in a culture of continual improvement. This role leads the process innovation and process stability across the organization including improving 1st pass yield. This position plays a key role in strategic business planning for Benchmade by identifying the three year plan for design engineering, and supporting operations.
This position draws on their experience to manage engineers of various backgrounds in supporting manufacturing processes and design engineering, including laser cutting, marking, grinding, CNC machining, and turning, as well as heat treatment of various steels composites. The Design Engineering Manager will also support supplier qualification to support supplier performance.
This role also upholds and improves performance (financial & non-financial) of launched NPI engineering projects both before and after release to the market. This includes but is not limited to: Project portfolio management, resource planning, reducing engineering capacity constraints, improving legacy products, improving documentation & Data utilization, and bolstering shared resources and minimizing waste (BAM, R&D, Concept, etc)
