Senior ERP Solutions Architect

 

The Senior ERP Solutions Architect will be accountable for providing direction and expertise on the use and optimization of the company Enterprise Resource Planning ERP – SYSPRO application suite of products and modules. They will build and maintain strong relationships with business and IT partners and clients.  Responsibilities include understanding business needs, providing best practice solution design utilizing SYSPRO capabilities and working with internal and external technology teams to deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Consultation: Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand their business objectives, processes, and pain points, and provide expert advice on ERP solutions to address their requirements
  • Solution Identification: Analyze needs and requirements to recommend appropriate solutions, considering factors such as industry best practices, scalability and ERP functionality
  • System Implementation:  Support local development of the ERP system, including configuration, customization, data migration, and integration with existing systems
  • Business Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the organization, and work with stakeholders to implement changes aligning with ERP capabilities
  • Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption and utilization of the ERP system and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance testing to validate the functionality, reliability, and performance of ERP solutions, and ensure alignment with requirement deliverables
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with ERP and supporting vendors and third-party service providers to coordinate implementation activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to ERP systems, and leverage this knowledge to enhance internal solutions and service offerings

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology,  or related degree
  • Team collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, build positive relationships, and drive consensus towards common goals
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in SYSPRO ERP implementations, consulting, or related roles, with a strong track record of successful project delivery
  • Analytical Thinking: Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions
  • Project Management: PMP, PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner, SAFe or similar project management/agile certifications preferred
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels of the organization
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business processes across various industries and departments, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in ERP systems are highly desirable
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in SYSPRO ERP applications and integrations
    • Familiar with database concepts and SQL query language

Working Conditions: 

  • Working Environment: Office Position
  • Physical Demands: Lifting up to 25 lbs., sitting and talking on the phone and computer for long periods of time.   
  • Travel Requirements: As needed, less than 5% of the time.
